Breast Lift Surgery
Breast lift surgery is performed in our office surgical facility. The process lasts approximately two hours. Excess breast tissue is removed and the remaining tissue and the nipple-areola complex are repositioned.
Mastopexy may cause temporary bruising and swelling with some discomfort. Any pain can be alleviated with medication. You will be advised to wear a bra (day and night) for the first month. Stitches will be removed within two weeks. Breast lift scars will be visible, but will probably fade significantly in time. However, they will never disappear completely. The recovery rate from breast lift surgery is rapid, with most patients being able to return to work within one week. It is important to avoid strenuous activity, such as lifting, bending, or stretching for about a month.
